In the rebranding of Supercross to SuperMotocross, I had the unique thrill of working on a project I was already a fan of—it was like designing for a sport I’d be cheering on anyway! My focus was on crafting dynamic advertisements across both print and digital platforms. While following the existing brand guidelines, I also had fun injecting fresh creative elements into the new branding. Of course, the challenge of integrating feedback from AMA, a major sponsor, kept me on my toes (and away from sneaking out to talk to the racers). Collaborating with the photography team to capture the excitement of the sport, working with creative directors for guidance, and syncing with my team lead, I helped bring the new brand to life. My contributions included designing racing schedules, map badges, sponsorship signs, website banners, billboards, and seating maps for Ticketmaster. The rebrand launch went off without a hitch—no wheelies required—and my work was enthusiastically received by both the client and the company. For a SuperMotocross fan like me, it doesn’t get much better than that!
